A computer booth with custom software that guides users through the process of throwing an impromptu celebration party for a randomly selected theme. The software accesses the Wikipedia API to generate random party themes. The animated characters on the screen walk you through the steps, and all the materials you need (party hats, banners, cards, cake, etc.) are in sealed envelopes inside the booth. Users interact with the computer through a simple custom 3-button input device.

If I had some children in my care and we were stuck inside on a rainy day, one activity I might suggest is that we choose a random theme and throw an impromptu celebration party. This software plays with children in the same way on my behalf. I hope it shows children that they don't have to be bored, that there's always something fun to do if you're willing to be creative and a little silly.
